UPDATE:
Friday, 17th November: Had extra Choir practice 'cos we couldn't get the song nailed. :S Went to Elsa's for the bbq cum sleepover with Marianne after that. Swam-> ate a whole lot of nice food-> talked about guys, figures... Very typical er, girly content. -.- Was fun though. Could complain, ask questions... Yeah. Got -chided- for being 'so innocent' at one point even. When the 3 of us went back up to Elsa's, we had this Baby Interaction Session (BIS) for a bit with her baby cousin. So adorable lah he. (: LOL. ANYWAYS. Marianne couldn't stay over : / ; her dad picked her up later. MIDNIGHT MOVIE MARATHON. Watched X-Men 1&2; snacks consumed included 2 pints of Ben&Jerry's (New York Super Fudge and Fossil Fuel) , and more bbq food. YUMMYYUMMY. The ice-cream was shared among 4 girls. SO IN ALL I ATE HALF A PINT OF ICE CREAM IN A NIGHT. :O Or maybe more because Elsa kept skipping her turn and I didn't. LOL so pai seh. ANYWAYS. We all were too tired to watch X-Men 3 as originally planned so we washed up and supposedly went to bed though it didn't happen. Elsa and I ended up talking MORE until about 5am. So yeah. Woke up at 9++ the next morning; her parents brought us out for breakfast :D ; came back and watched a little of The Incredibles; her folks sent me back. Thanks to Elsa & family for the wonderful time!!

18th, 19th & 20th November: Nothing of great interest happened.(:

21st & 22nd November: CHOIR WORKSHOP AT ST NICK'S. Wow ok that was really intensive. Spent about 16+ hours in all singing. !! Inclusive of breaks lah of course. But even than, take away 3 hours for lunch and in-practice breaks and we'd sung for 13 hours. WHOA. And erm I'm so proud of Group C (aka the Butterfly~~ group) . We managed to kind of gao dim the song during the first day; the rest we mostly worked on expression and dynamics so it was cool. The concert put up at the end of it all was pretty ok. Ms Lim said that among her 3 Girls' choirs (St Nicks, Nanyang and us, TK) , she liked our sound best. XD Though there're other very important stuff we still have to work on lah. JIA YOU PEOPLE GO FOR THAT GOLD WITH HONOURS!! :D

A short photo essay of the Choir Chalet '06; enjoy!! :D (Credits to Ms Ng)

*Edited post; text in italics are newly added in. :D*

WAHAHAHA. Choir chalet was cool. 90% of the stuff went goodgoodgood. :D So of course we went home a very happy bunch of people lor. Here's the run-down of events:

10 November-
Reached the chalet after getting lost for a while 'cos the place is so ulu; burried somewhere in Changi. 531 Netharavon Road thus became the address of about 50 girls and 2 teachers for the next 2 days. Had games at the beach [it was literally at our doorstep X)] , a yummy Macs dinner... NIGHT WALK. ^^ A very HIGH bunch of us went walking down to Changi Village, talking, laughing, singing (duh we're choristers afterall), basically making a lot of noise and enjoying ourselves. Some passer-by even asked which school we were from. :O :S Did a couldn't-get-any-more-impromptu performance at near some fishing area which honestly wasn't very in tune because we were so high (...). We probably scared the fish away from the fishers there. :SS But then Ms Ng & Ms Tay were like "you were all very relaxed and happy" (something like that) so YEAH. Proceeded to the hawker centre next to well, SING for the people there. The little kids were all like looking at us; at least we were appreciated. There was even this guy who took a pic of us. (: Went back to the chalet singing that Carlsberg (sic!!?!) ad song even though we didn't know the words. Back at the chalet, Ms Tay told us some guy from the SAF told us we sounded "like angels" and even wanted us to perform at their Christmas function. WHOA. Happy lah. :D (Ok honestly we performed better at the open-house but YOU KNOW...) . Ohoh. Bathing time was limited to like 5 minutes per person (remember 50+ people have to share a mere 2 shower facilities). I OVERSHOT. By about 2 minutes. (sorry to those behind me) Settled down; figured out how to squeeze 12 girls into a tiny room; tried to sleep (as in the alto 2s), some more successful than the others. Those who knocked out later did so at about 1++?? 'Cos we (Jia Min, Elsa, Gloria, Sherlyn, Shi Han)were all talking nonsense (I honestly cannot remember what we were talking about) and laughing/giggling. HAHAHAHA.

11 November-
Had a morning jog at the beach. Only about half of us really jogged. I did!! For like 1/4 of the way. ERR. Breakfast, warm-ups, then TA-DAH Marianne came. (welcome back darling we missed you) Ah and then Ms Lim was like "yaddayaddayadda" sometimes happy with us sometimes not so. Did the ___ song for SYF; we (the alto 2 people) couldn't really get the rhythm at some part but er, REST ASSURED BRENDA we'll get it fixed soon. (: Had nasi lemak lunch, then did dunno what. Games I think. LOL. Slacked for a bit in our rooms, got ready for the Special Nite (it wasn't Choir Idol). I DIDN'T PLAY MYSELF. Heng lah. Had a delayed bbq, but not before the -wedding couple- of A2 (Katharine & Sandy) performed a few dance routines for one and all in the room. WOW they so can dance lah. And they're really really sporting too. (: The dance music -came- from the pre-recorded songs in the keyboard we brought along for sectionals. Everyone certainly had a good laugh and enjoyed themselves. Cameras and camcorders were whipped out to record the special moments. WAHAHAHA. >:D Special Nite was cool. Sop 1 did a SI scene, Sop 2, Cinderella, Alto 1, some special version of Lost, and Alto 2, A TYPICAL SCENE IN CHOIR. ((: All the items certainly proved we all had a good sense of humour(sic??) In the end, our positions were (in ascending order of merit) : A2, A1, S1 and S2. GONG XI to one and all for your efforts. Bath time~~ OH. Alto 2 had TOILET DUTY. But it was -ok- because Sherlyn did about everything (picking the hair up) ; we dared her during truth or dare. WAHAHAHA. But she was brave about it. :D Whoa. Now's the mostmostmost memorable bit- the 7-way (Elsa, Jia Min, Gloria, Sherlyn, Sandy, Katherine and I) talk on well, boys / boyfriends past, present, and er, future. :O Although that material is strictly not meant for this entry. HEH. We are keeping it within the section.

12 November-
Nothing much happened. Breakfast, area clean-up, then an auction of sorts to clear all the extra stuff we had left over (sic?) after the camp. Bussed back to school. And thus that was the end of TKGS CHOIR CHALET '06. :'( Cliched as it sounds though, I'm sure everyone who attended this will remember it for a long long time to come. And well I guess, that's... Cool. Uh? (:

This week's gonna be pretty packed.

Went swimming, then to Avryl's on Monday (thanks for entertaining; <33)
The day before, I attended a talk by SYFC (Singapore Youth For Christ) , lunched out with the regulars (I'm a newbie) and went to Tampines interchange to do Street E. (was very shy though... :$) Went to the grocery store at the basement (guess which one?? :D) to buy, well, GROCERIES. HAHA. Body Shop followed; got a voucher for Mum's birthday (though it's about 1 month & a week away. WHY; it's a long story)

ANDANDAND there's nothing on today. >:(

Thursday's worse with all the music class nonsense.

BUT, FRIDAY'S THE START OF CHOIR CHALET '06!!! XD ((: Yeah. About 50+ choristers are staying in, with more joining in for just the practices. EXCITING. What with the night walk and all. The scary thing though, is the Choir Idol (is the title right??) . 'Cos I missed the sectional-discussion last week on MSN and have totally no idea what's going on now. :S I know this sounds really dumb, but I seriously would not like to play myself if we were to 'do out' a typical scene in choir. (ie won't/can't smile during warm-ups & singing and getting chided [sic??!?] for it) Just not very nice to act that out lah. And I certainly hope we'll all enjoy singing the SYF songs. ;)
Ohoh. Deviating for a bit; the Open House performance last week was pretty cool, although we sang the same 2 songs NINE times altogether, and had a very 'active' audience. LOL. PS- Thanks to the UG people on duty that day for applauding us when no one else did. (: Haha but we sang quite well lah. WAHAHA. Back to the chalet thing now; hope I won't have to miss cell breakfast on Sunday. : /

One more thing. WATCH THIS VIDEO!! Featuring the SI finalists (sans Mathilda; wonder why??) Great concept+the idols(inclusive of JON and Nurul especially)+that nice warm Christmas-y feel=An instant fan out of erm, me. ((: Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I apologise for the video alignment is a little off and I DO NOT KNOW how to adjust it proper. XD

Till then.
