Saturday, February 20, 2010HELLO, ONE AND ALL.My wish list, as promised. (See, I care for y'all, and don't wanna see anyone getting stressed deciding what to get for me. :D) 1. (Hair) rubber bands (Yellow to go with my house tee? Or any other colour) 2. Black cardigan 3. Coloured ankle/foot socks (In dire need of!) 4. Sneakers 5. Pumps 6. Healthy, yummy snacks 7. Cards/letters 8. Hugs 9. Dates! 10. Balloons?? 11. Stationery (Markers or pens!) 12. A4-size box file (So I can throw all my bound books in my bag without further damaging the corners) 13. Hope I'll be able to blog again later! Sunday, February 14, 2010XIN NIAN KUAI LE, WAN SHU RU YI, SHEN TI JIAN KANG, XUE YE JIN BU, BU BU GAO SHENG! :DHappy Valentine's Day! Hearts. Wishing you all a wonderful lunar new year ahead, nevermind the fact that you have/do not have a valentine. :) I've been online since... Perhaps about 3 or 4pm yesterday. GASP. I hope I'm not turning into a geek!! :S (But of course, I had dinner, went to the toilet and blahblahblah in between lah). I'm actually kinda bored online, but I stay on, for some weird reason. Anyhow. I've been on a roller-coaster (with mild dips and rises) ride, feelings-wise these past few hours. It's the whole I'm-happy-in-school-now-but-I-wonder-what-life'd-be-like-if-I-could see-the-Fab 4/Zoo-around-in-school-everyday thing, I guess? (I went a bit ~~ typing all those hyphens -.-) I laughed so hard at the Epic Success of a Teachers' Day Video we made last year and remember why 4E2 was (and is) so awesome, read blogs of the AC/MJ/NY/SR people and feel a little tinge of sadness, yet am very excited and occupied checking out the profiles of my new schoolmates on Facebook. Okay I just hope you understand what I mean, because that doesn't seem very coherent to me. Friday's outing with the Fab 4 was awesome. :) So glad to have been able to catch up with Fi, Mare and Sa. Met at Marina Square, lunched at Just Acia, cam-whored for a bit at the Esplanade Rooftop, met Louise Lim and Amirah at the Esplanade, walked around, failed to watch Valentine's Day, went to Macs to talk. It was somewhat like the last day of the Os, when we were prom dress shopping. (Oh and sorry Fi- I felt bad when you left on your own. :S) OPPORTUNITY COST of that- (gasp Econs!!) Missing out on an outing with Wendy and Gayathri + A visit to Mrs Sew's with the half of the Zoo not in the Fab 4 plus Tiff and Si Jia (heard the host was mighty sweet with a nice house to boot!). Okay I don't care if opportunity cost means the NEXT BEST OPTION THAT HAD TO BE GIVEN UP, because those two are tied. (Hmmm my brain's actually processing Econs!) Oh and to make your life easier (cough) I'll put up my wishlist. Soon. :B Good morning; Deb loves you. Saturday, February 06, 2010The cool air outside smells funny. A wee bit like it's gonna rain.Oh I've no idea. I've come to realise, that maybe, just maybe, more people know me than I know them. No I am NOT saying I'm popular or whatever, I'm simply alarmed at my apparent blurness, because yesterday in school while talking to some fellow-ex-TKGians, I'd to ask for their names. And if I don't remember wrongly, they all knew my name. Oops. Hahahahaha. Lunch in school was spent with Audre (I don't know how to do that little sign on top of the 'e') and Faidah, gossiping away. Funny how I only get to know some people better after graduation eh. I mean. I've seen Faidah in class for the past 4 years! I didn't get through the Rockclimbing try-outs (D:), so I guess it's another 2 years of Choir for me, and the seventh straight year at that. Unless I decide on ODAC. Oh and I met Tricia, my classmate in P1 from PLMGPS at the try-outs! I saw her there, thought she looked familiar, stared at her (I do that to anyone who looks familiar haha), heard her name was Tricia, asked which Primary School she was from... And when she found out who I was she was like "AHHH!" and hugged me. So funny lah. :D Being in TPJC has given me a chance to stare down (and talk to some) familiar-looking people from SHPS and TKGS too- people like Rachel, Emily... Yeah! It's cool. :) In a new school with no close friends from TKGS, I've been forced to be more sociable, remember new names, make new friends. It's been quite pleasant, and I do feel I'm more sociable now so yaye. :) Oh and I met my CG yesterday for the first time!! They all seem like a nice bunch of people, and I'm really glad that's the case. 21 of us, but there're only 5 guys. The J1 camp sounds exciting; there may be an entire day of activities held at Sentosa! :D Ahh it's awesome to be able to stay up late legally, seeing as to how I've no CM training later on in the morning. :) That list about things I miss in TKGS will have to wait. I'm currently downstairs and am too lazy to go up to get the attribute list I prepared for what was meant to be Long Sappy Graduation Letters (LSGLs) which I never got down to writing due to sheer laziness. I'll put it up on Facebook too. Oh and. HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO PUTRI, YIM QI AND MRS SEW! Y'all have a wonderful year ahead, and God bless! ^^ I'm sleepy. So the list I wanted to put up here on Things I'll Miss About TKGS here will have to wait.Check back when you can, I know it must give you an immense sense of pride and joy to see your name listed here haha. :D In other news, I'm now in 10A06, ftw. (Yes Si Jia, I KNOW what it means, and it's no longer headache-inducing:D Same to you, Farah Nabilah! HAHAHAHAHA.) Yepyep, it's time for code-like These two years, I'm gonna make friends with 5 Literature texts, stacks of Economics and China Studies in English notes, (something like) A Math and my new $140 (and not $120 as previously mentioned), intimidating-looking graphing calculator, and oh, people too, of course. I'm gonna befriend the last on the list first, cause the order does NOT indicate the level of importance. :D HAHAHAHAHA. But of course, I'm determined not to mess up the A Levels/the third major exam in my life, because really, twice is more than enough. AND I WANT TO GO TO NUS TO READ SOCIOLOGY/PSYCHOLGY/WHATEVER. Yaye. Rockclimbing try-outs later. :) Wish me luck! Wednesday, February 03, 2010Hi everyone, I'm in Tampines Junior College and will remain here for the next two years.Wasn't accepted by Meridian and Nanyang, the first having been my dream/targeted school for about two years. Well I'll accept this eventually. And know I'll learn to love my school sometime possibly pretty soon because I always end up liking whichever school I'm in. There's a J1 camp at the end of the term, and I know that once I get over my crappy mood, I'll be psyched up for it. First time in five years I'll be camping in school, and that's kinda part of our orientation programme (which ended last Friday), so yaye. OG breakfast was okay!. Turnout at 20 (there're about 25 of us who have remained) is pretty impressive, don't you think. :) Zann and I hopped over to Sherene's table when we realized the 10 guys at our table were all watching soccer haha. The assorted (haha I make it sound like some box of biscuits) talks and tai chi session held during PE today were hilarious. Happily went to sign up to volunteer for YOG, and got an application form for NYAA too. Went for recess, and got a blueberry bliss ice-blended drink, which was a very pretty shade of lavender. I took a picture of it, but the colour didn't quite come out. S: Econs lecture thereafter. The lecturer went so fast! Oh and I've gotten my first piece of homework. :S Briefing, then lunch with Sin Hang and her friend Audrey. CCA fair! Put my name down for Choir, Rockclimbing and Canoeing. (I don't think I'll try out for canoeing; was persuaded into signing up somewhat haha) The later part of the CCA fair was face-achingly funny. :D Shall not go into details though. You know what. God put me in TPJ for a reason. I'm quite sure it's His will, and I know it's up to me to make the best of my (hopefully just) two years here, so God help me please, to shine like I should for You, and be happy with where I am. See y'all at CNY. Tuesday, February 02, 2010Cheese my New Post page is a little out of alignment. : /Anyhow, hi world. I am still waiting for my appeal results. Kinda losing hope with one though. The other, I hope they'll get back to me as soon as possible! Don't like, really make me wait till Friday 5pm please. My poor heart can take the suspense no more. :( I got two calls during the Theatre Studies and Drama (no I'm not doing that subject; just sat in cause I'd nothing to do and was curious about it) lecture today from a landline. Had to excuse myself, because like, what if it was XJC??? I called back a few times, but the number was busy. So I went back to the lecture. And called again when I was done. Guess who it was- the job agancy I was at during the hols. I felt kinda embarrassed can. Like, so excited for nothing. Haha. Today, after school, I got home, daydreamt (haha is there such a word??), fell asleep. Duh. And when I woke up (but kept my eyes closed), the first thing that popped into my head and ALL I could think of was that appeal to X. That magical call. Seriously. You know if I could focus with such intensity on mugging last year, I wouldn't have to go through all this because I know more or less I'd have done well enough to get to X via DSA/JAE. Talk about bad timing man. -.- I eventually had to do MATH (yes seriously; it's a worksheet from last year by Ms S on Mensuration and Trigonometry) to get my mind off it. Geez. A little more about thy school day- I had my first H1 Math lecture today. Just an introductory one, telling us about the stuff that's gonna be covered in the coming months. Found out that we have to buy a very expensive calculator too. You know, it's quite a shock to find out that it's gonna cost a HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS when initially I thought it'd be like, around 25 bucks?? The Math lecturer seems pretty nice. :) Kinda soft-spoken too. We were done with the lecture after about a mere half an hour. YAYE OG (Orientation Group) BREAKFAST AT TAMPINES MART MACS TOMORROW! :D Since there'll be "lesser chance to meet up in the future when everyone splits into your respective cg" (I quote my OGLeader Marietta), and school starts at 0830 tomorrow. Oh and I'm from OG2, by the way. Haha. (You can guess where I currently am schooling now lah huh.) A special shout-out to everyone I've been talking to these few days- Sam, Eunice, Joelynn, Felicia, Tze Jie, Sherene, Yun Zhen, Si Ying, Zann, Nasyitah, Sin Hang, Aik Teck, Rachel and Tulica. (sp!) :D Okay I gotta go before my eye circles get darker, I miss the ride out tomorrow/have no energy for PE and CCA fair/Mum kills me. Night! Monday, February 01, 2010HEY! I gotta make this super quick.Yes, school's started. Won't state where I am until I know the results of my appeal though. I'll know by Wednesday 5pm. :) I must say that I'm settling in okay as of the second day (29th January), and that I won't mind staying on if _JC doesn't want me. :) And to those who tagged- Thanks again. That was a rather emo post cause I had to get it off my chest, but rest assured, I'm feeling better now. :) Day 3 of JC life starts tomorrow; better go! Love lots.
