Tuesday, November 24, 2009Helloooooooooo.I've a got a sore throat creeping up on me. Nasty. :( 'Hope Dad will let me go sign up with that job agency Dorcas and friends are with. He's coming back tomorrow, and Mum says she'll talk to him about it. I'm hoping he'll change his perception and mind. Cause I'm really desperate for a job, seeing as to how difficult it is for me to find a temporary, part-time job. I guess I'm pretty picky in not wanting to be a tele-marketer or flyer distributor or whatever..? Initially I wanted to work at Ben & Jerry's. (And no, not for free ice cream.) Then I thought maybe Ikea'd be nice. So I checked out the Ikea website, and realised the positions I could apply for were for the Alexandra store. :( So, WHATEVER, I pray the folks will give the green light soon, so I can go do waitressing at some hotel and earn some moolah. I hope to earn $300, but in reality I'm gonna have to try and work for $450 so I've about a $100 to spend on myself. Ayeaye. Went for Choir yesterday. But I didn't practice the carols with the juniors. -.- Ended up talking to Yu Han and Sheryl instead, cause they weren't there for carolling. Found out from Ms Tong that our -reward- for carolling with the choir was CHOIR HOODIES!! :D A bit late well yes, but better late than never! (As far as I remember, nobody's ever seen me with a jacket/sweater/hoodie over my pinafore; this year, I told myself I'd hold out against hail and rain while in school, until I got a Choir hoodie.) Mare, Fi and I later went to Gershwin to do a lil' bit of warm-ups, sing random choir songs, and cam-whore. Met Mrs Sew at the bus stop when I left! So I took the bus with her, chatting all the way till she got off. :) Met Dorcas and her friends later at Orchard Road. Spent the afternoon walking around the 2 (different) Far East buildings, Ion and Wisma Atria. Saw like 7 (!!) people from school and church during that process, most of whom didn't see me. Thank you Dorcas, Beverly, Hillary, Geraldine and Rachel for your company and food. (: NEIGH. A quiz. What was the last test you had on? Can't remember! The last exam was Chemistry MCQ though. Are you good at creating graphs in math? Yes, on good days. Oreo milkshakes or orange juice? The former! (Though I don't remember trying it. Orange juice... I've had a few disappointing expereinces with it.) Do looks matter the most to you? Nope, but it's pretty high on the list too. Have you ever had a lemonade stand? Nope. Do you hate it when people read over your shoulders? Yes. But I'm guilty of it too. Oops. Would you electrocute yourself as part of a dare? No lah please. Do you smile politely when someone comments that you’ve put on weight? Yeah I guess I will, but in my mind I'l be like "!!?! Really?" Unless of course I know I really have gained some. What do you plan to do with yourself as far as future education goes? Get a degree in sociology/psychology! Are you afraid to stay in a hospital overnight all by yourself? Why? Yeah I might be... Overactive imagination. Do you even care about world peace? YES. Who was the last person to turn you on? Huh don't have lah. Without stating names say something to three people: Do you mind if we crash your place? Are you going to Nat's on Saturday? Why you liddat??!? Do you currently have a hickey? NO. Ouch. If the year consisted of only one season, which would you choose? I dunno lah... Singapore's summer all-year round. Is there a girl that knows everything or mostly everything about you? Right now I think so... And a few at that. I feel as though I've told people a lot of things about myself. :O What's one thing you want more than anything in your life? To be the best I can be. (It sums up a lot of things.) Last time you had butterflies in your stomach? Naw I don't think so. What’s the best feeling in the world? Being in love... That just popped into my head. Would you ever shave your head to save someone you love? Mmhmm. Can you play guitar hero? Nope. When's the next time you will kiss somebody? I dunno. Do you wear the hood on your hoodie? N.A., cause I don't have one. Can you successfully blow up and tie a balloon? Yeah I think I can. But not without some air escaping by the end of it all. Do you bump into someone’s arm if you want to hold their hand? No! Do you want any tattoos? If so, where? Nah. Does the thought of marriage scare you? A little? At this point in time I can't really imagine being committed to someone for the rest of my life. Do you get the recommended eight hours of sleep a night? No, not usually. Most of the time it's a couple hours more or less. Would you rather have your nose or tongue pierced? Nose? But really, I'd rather keep piercings to my ears, tyvm. Are there things in your life that you'll never be able to get over? Yeah perhaps. Is there someone who loves to cause drama in your life? Nah. Got into major trouble in school? Yes, if detention class for being late counts. :S It sucks being let down, doesn't it? Duh. Can you handle a lot of drama? No. Not without getting emotionally involved at least. Can you count to 100 in another language? Yes! CHINESE YO. Have you ever donated clothes? Yep. What's the shortest length you've ever cut your hair? I dunno... Go see my baby pictures lah. You'll be awed by thy cute-ness. :D Do you always turn the light off when you leave a room? Nope. Heeh. Are you pregnant? NO. Are you one to be brutally honest? Nope. Have you ever used your bra to hold things like you would a pocket? No. Have you ever dated someone more than three years older than you? Nope. Do you think your life will change dramatically before 2010? Nah, not really. Is there that one guy/girl that you'll always have feelings for no matter what? I dunno... Probably yes. Did anyone inflict any physical pain on you in the past week ? No, I don't think so. Your ex REALLY needs you at 3am and you have a way to their house. Do you go? Uh huh. Think back to the last person you dated, how many times have you cried over them? Hmmm. Peaches or Mangoes? Mango please. Do you prefer writing on lined or plain paper? Lined! Err of the 4, I guess pyjama pants is the closest description. Do you know what high school your father went to? Yes. What were you doing at 12 o'clock last night? Probably lazing around. Have you chewed gum after someone else already has? Ewww no. Would you rather your partner have gorgeous eyes or a gorgeous smile? Eyes? Or both also can. :D Yellow fingernail polish: yes or no? Nah... Unless it's a really pretty shade. Do you call it sitting "criss-cross" or " Indian-style"? None of the above. Would you consider yourself to be a good cook? Okay at least, given instructions. Friday, November 20, 2009HELLO EVERYONE I KNOW YOU MISSED ME LIKE TONZXS.In other news, the evil Os are like, over. I'm more free, and happier than a bird. A summary of the past few days: Friday- Chem paper 1 was okay. Didn't shoot through the roof from happiness though. (That was the last paper, see.) Proceeded to the hall for the briefing. Got a heart attack about 20 times there, becuase people were screaming here, there and everywhere. Even during the briefing itself, the teacher-in-charge made me jump outta my skin a few times. Canteen for post-exam muffins that my mummy bought for the gang thereafter. Went home, went out again. Met Fi, Sa, Mare and Nat at Citylink Mall for day 1 of prom dress shopping. Failed. Only prom-related thing I bought was powder. (Which, till now, hasn't been used. -.-) Walked around, hopped over to Suntec, met Sa's sis (Edna), went to Macs. Dinner at grandma's. Saturday- Went to the ACS carnival with Jia Min, Mare and Sa. Quite fun lah catching up with Zha Min. :D (She loves us, I know.) The little boys walking around selling things were super cute!! Proceeded to Far East for day 2 of prom dress shopping. Mare found her dress there! I found a nice-white-satin-knee length-one strap dress which made me look like a pixie there too. But I couldn't bargain about the price, so mum didn't let me get it. ): Left Far East, walked Jia Min to Church, went to This Faishon at Singpost (I was emo-ing about not being able to get the white dress, see.) Got home at 7++ or 8. Dinner. Went to the Robinsons Expo Sale with mum. Got a dress for new year (A floral print tube! Haha.) and some other stuff. Sunday- Attended cell and service for the first time in 3 weeks! Cell was breakfast at Tanglin Macs. Lunch at Tanjong Pagar. PEANUT ICE KACHANG! Yummy. Met Gina at Parkway later for day 3 of prom dress shopping. Tried on like 7 dresses at Isetan. :O (The sales assistant passed me 4 more when I'd already taken 3 to the dressing room, see.) Bussed over to Tampines. Continued the search at Tampines 1 and Tampines Mall. Left Tampines eventually with just a copy of Seventeen. -.- Monday- Far East with Dorcas for day (freakin') 4 of prom dress shopping. Gave up looking for a dress at 2++ (finally) and went looking for accessories. Beverly, Dorcas's friend joined us soon after. Went to Far East Shopping Centre so they could collect their pay. Almost applied for a job. Walked around at Ion Orchard and Far East Plaza, and got my not-very-high-heeled-sandals (on discount at $19.90 from New Look; I tell you I was sooooo happy can), stack of bangles and dangly earrings. Headed to Dorcas's thereafter to get my nails done by her. :D (THANK YOU DORCAS!) Got home at 10++. Missed Auntie Mag's visit though. She left shortly before I came back. Tuesday- PROM!! Was a little panicky in the morning cause the very awesome me only called my usual hairdresser at 10+ and found out she couldn't cut and do my hair cause she was about to leave town. So thank goodness for the salon at Roxy Square. My hair got the most major layering ever plus straightened there for a really affordable $12! ^^ Went to Wendy's place later to get my make-up done by her mum's friend; thank you anuntie Cynthia! (: Stoned at Wendy's for quite a bit before dad drove the both of us to Marina Mandarin, where the prom was held. (Oh by the way in case you're wondering what I wore there, it was a dark purple dress borrowed from my mum's colleague's daughter. Yes, and I tried on close to 20 dresses prior to that, only to end up wearing something that'd been hanging on my cupboard for a week already. -.-) Prom was 99.999% awesome, from the way everyone looked (thank God all I needed to do was to stare a little harder at some people to realise who they were instead of their identities being shrouded in a cloud of mystery the entire night), the very funny MC, swift-moving programme, company of friends, energy, enthusiasm, variety of food, dancing (more like jumping on the stage and scream-singing the songs for me but whatever, I enjoyed myself)... Yeah you get it. It was certainly interesting noting how different most people looked. Pinafores and tied-up hair disguise a lot of things, I tell you. Pictures'll be up on Facebook soon, if it decides to co-operate. (Heh maybe it senses my apprehension cause I look weird in the vast majority of the pictures taken that night.) Oh and if you're wondering why prom was 0.001% not-so-nice, ask me, I'm not about to say it here haha. Shout-outs to everyone- teachers (Mrs D Ang and gang), friends, the folks and all those who helped me out in prom prep in one way or another: I LOVE YOU ALL. Enjoyed myself thoroughly, from the start to the end of the whole event, and that's really something, cause that hasn't happened, ever/in a long, long time. :) Wednesday- Woke up with Prom Withdrawal Symptoms (PWS), because for the first time in 4 days, I didn't have to go out shopping or preparing for prom in some other way. Finally began planning my Long Sappy Graduation Letters (LSGL) with the Attribute List. Thursday- Spent most of my time online and making amends for that later. (Mum came home and was really really pissed that the rice hadn't been cooked and the lettuce, plucked.) So the brothers and I prepared almost the entire dinner, I washed up (my duty today) and did some laundry later with Dan. TODAY- I'll be going for Choir. Yes, Choir, cause I'm gonna be carolling with the (TKGS) choir come 12th and 20th December at Century Square. I came online again cause I forgot to print out the 2 scores Ms Tong sent us, but well obviously I've done more than that... Anyhow. I hope I can go to the library later! Part of my Post-Os-to-do list, see. Then I can pass Wendy the book she's been asking from me since last year, ahahaha. K lah I end here.
