Tuesday, July 22, 2008HELLO. FOR YOUR PATIENCE, YOU WILL BE REWARDED WITH A BLOG POST.It's been like, 18 days since I last blogged?? That's a longggggg time. What's happened lately?? 2 July, Wednesday- O Level CL Oral. Screwed the reading. Went too fast, didn't know how to read too many words. Conversation was on rising costs of living. I could say things, as in like I knew what to say, but couldn't translate them to Chinese. So the examiners would complete my sentences. Pass, yeah. Distinction, the day pigs fly. 10 July, Thursday- Got back the A Math CA. I ALMOST PASSED OKAY. Just 1 more mark. Super disappointing. Although really, how much can I expect if the only revision I do is homework?? Floodgates opened again; I don't know what's wrong with me. But whatever; I've gotten over it now. (And failed both Modulus quizzes given since then. So much for improving. -.-) 11 July, Friday- Ayeshah busted her knee. Poor thing can. She's still on crutches. Get well soon okay superwoman. I hope the physio is double-triple-quadruple effective for you. (: 14-18 July, Monday-Friday: THE WEEK OF THE CAs. 5 of those evil little things can. Although to be fair, you can't prepare for the O Level Chinese Listening Comprehension. I think I major screwed everything up. 17 July, Thursday- Tried out a new A Math tuition class. I was sitting at the seat nearest to the door. Then, someone walks in, and something interesting happens. "OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??!?"- Thahira Thasnim. I seriously mean the abovementioned caps and exclamation. Super funny can. The tuition class is, crazy. As in like the guys there are forever talking nonsense, but everyone's able to do the work can. All the trigo things. 19 July, Saturday- Picked mummy up from the airport at night. Thank you for the nice, purple souvenirs mummy! I really like them. And your stories of Hong Kong- super interesting can. Too bad I can't tell the people at school about it. 21 July, yesterday- Cross Country and Zany Green Parade at East Coast Park. Got a flurry of calls and messages before that. Dad sent Wendy and I to the busstop. Walked with Wendy and Si Jia to East Coast. Got there late, but not late enough to be booked. Zany~~ Too lazy to describe lah. But 3E2 got third for Cross Country overall, and I think Agnes snagged one of the top ten so CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD JOB! Cam-whored more than anything else there. Went to Parkway for a KFC lunch with Elsa, Fiona, Si Jia, Farah and Tiffany. Talked a lot. Went back to school for additional Additional Math lessons. (Additional additional. LOL.) Was like falling asleep can. But after the extension part of the lesson I more or less got it lah, so yaye. Thank you Thahira for waiting for forever for me. And for the very sweet post-it! Haha. Bussed back with Ms TT after that. TODAY ah. Nothing much lah. Just a lot of snowballed homework. Best part is, next week is the CA week. AND I HAVEN'T STARTED MUGGING, SERIOUSLY. The only revision I've done so far is my homework, and sometimes even that is late so yes gongxifacai. I don't know why I'm online. And a little note. Who knew life would turn out so complicated?? When I was in P6, I wondered what else to Math there was. Never in my life did I think people would come up with ways to manipulate huge, exponential numbers, change curves to lines or solve cubic algebraic identities. Now in secondary school, I've learnt all these (with varying degrees of success), and been given opportunities to experience things I never even dreamt of experiencing. And no, it's not just Math. From the mundane- falling asleep in class, to the exciting- performing for the president and OBS, to the major- people, relationships. I mean, I never expected to be thrown into all this you know? Pink sang this song, Who Knew. I can't agree more. |
