Wednesday, November 12, 2008On the topic of friends now. Those from primary school to be exact.I realise how much all of you have changed whenever I look at your stuff online- Facebook profiles, blogs, whatever. How our lives only seem to share one common thread now- that of being in the same primary school. (well obvioiusly) It's like, you go check out someone's profile online, and you're surprised to see how the person has changed, looks and attitude wise. Then when you go to the blogs, you see unfamiliar names, unfamiliar situations mentioned. Unless of course, that post is about the twice-yealy meetings during Chinese New Year and Teachers' Day. And even during these meetings, when was the last time we actually met up as an Entire group? I can't remember. It's the whole thing about not frequently keeping in touch, being in sync with what's happening in each other's lives. Which is kinda sad. I mean yeah people move on, but... Okay nevermind. Now even we don't talk on the phone anymore. I saw you twice this year on CNY and Teachers' Day, but we only exchanged a few words. Occasional SMS convos have turned semi-formal too. I don't think I'm likely to try calling you again, cause, what will we talk about? "How's school?" Aiyah I don't know lah. Feel so mean typing all this. Like, I'm not even trying to keep in close contact, so who am I to say all this?? But I thank you guys for being a part of my life. Some things which happened the first time in my life, you guys knew about it almost first-hand. So to Avryl, Amanda Cheu, Elizabeth, Germaine, Grace, Li Shan, Priscilla, and (dareIsayit) Eugene, thanks for the memories. I love you guys, and I hope you are happy in whatever schools you are in now, with friends, classes, CCAs, subject combinations and what not. Once again, I thank you for being a part of my life, and I wish you all the best in everything you do. Contact me anytime okay. (: |
