Saturday, January 02, 2010Combined Leaders' Retreat (CLR) was good! (: Finally felt a sense of belonging in R-AGE.After the engaging (seriously, it was) CM training and some pretty fun games on the 31st, dinner was with all the nice -seniors- and one Pastor even. Talked to (new friend) Jessica and (not-so-new friend) Su Hui Jie thorughout the entire 45-minute journey (we WALKED) to G2 thereafter for Watchnight Service. (Grace 2; it's a -branch- of Grace AOG) Really pleasant, the whole walk. :D Watchnight was Awesome, the first time I stayed for the entire service the six years I've been in Grace. Really fun, what with the cheer for Pastor Ronald, highing, wishing and all. (Although I couldn't remember practically the whole cheer despite being briefed twice about it.) Travelled back to the Salvation Army Campus in Bukit Timah where we were staying. Bathed, watched people play some card game (Gin) and played one round. I didn't fare too badly in that round, thanks to Adora. :) Went to bed at 3. Next day, I was sleepy during worship and devotion (lack of sleep). Workplan was somewhat exciting. I'll not be going back to P.O.G as I originally hoped, but I'll be going to COOL. (I've no idea if the whole thing is supposed to be in caps) I'll be CM-ing with this dude called Aaron (who's CMing COOL for the second year running). I already know all 4 girls in my cell. :) The other 7 or so guys... Well I'll get to know them in due time. Lunch was a regional affair, with plans for tomorrow being made. Teambuilding and a session on worship-leading next. Technical, with time to practice and reinforce. Dinner was fun with Kristine, Agnes and Stella, all of whom were froom COOL. Worship and prayer followed. Then, supper! Hahaha. Went to Railway Mall with the 5 abovementioned COOL people; was a blast! Had fishball noodles, talked, laughed and bullied. :B Stella was like totally high walking back lah. Played Articulate! with quite a big bunch of people (Joong Yan, Leng Shan, Joel, Adora, Bryson, Samuel, Nicole, Iman and Tiffany) after that. Funnnnnnnnnn. :D Retired at 3+. TODAY, I got up late despite being woken up 3 times by Gabby and Agnes, so I missed breakfast and went straight for worship and devotion by Michael. -Debrief- later by Pastor Cui Xian, quite uh, intersting. :D Packed up, made by longgggg way home. (21 train stops k!) Random reflections: 1. I'm somehow am not that afraid of being a CM now. Yaye. 2. I thank God for the great time I had there, all the people who talked to me, invited me to play games with them, basically made me feel welcome. 3. I gotta have more faith. Yaye. |
